| ASSEMBLER |
|
RESPONSIBILITY LEVEL:
Primarily responsible for the direct assembly of various subparts
for designated air handing products manufactured and assembled at
Environmental Technologies/Johnson Controls, Inc.
Assemblers are to ensure the subpart that is being assembled is
the specified component called for by comparing it to the print
diagram of the air handing unit being built. Assemblers are to ensure
accurate and efficient operations on the assembly lines to meet
production standards in a safe, sanitary and quality orientated
manner. All line assembly personnel are required to attend daily
safety tailgate discussions with other line employees and obey all
OHSA and company safety rules and regulations along with company
H.R. policies.
REQUIREMENTS:
High School diploma or equivalency. Excellent verbal and written
communication skills. Must be able to speak, understand and communicate
in English. Possess and exhibit excellent customer service skills.
Ability to lift 75 pounds as needed. Must be able to pass forklift
training and become OSHA qualified to drive a forklift truck. Position
requires attention to detail and time management skills. Able to
meet flexible work schedules to meet customer demands. |
| ELECTRICIAN |
GENERAL DUTIES & REQUIREMENTS:
Must be experience in machine control wiring and plc controls, experience
in servo motor a plus! Must have experience in trouble shoot of motor
control and basic electrical wiring experience! Must have 3 to 5 years
experience in field. We currently have opening on 1st & 2nd shifts. |
| Maintenance Electrician |
| Repairs, maintains, replaces, installs and tests electrical/electronic systems, circuits and equipment. Inspects equipment and diagnoses trouble or malfunctions. Analyzes equipment failures, determines cause and makes necessary adjustments. Operates electrical hand tools and voltage or ampere measuring devices. Works from blueprints, drawings, sketches or layouts. Working knowledge of techniques, materials, tools and equipment used. Formal apprenticeship or equivalent training and experience. Other duties as required. |
| Manager of Engineered Products |
SUMMARY:
Manage the viability, price, creation, and implementation of special features and options for all products. Evaluate applicability of special features for inclusion into standard product offering.
PRIMARY DUTIES:
- Analyze special requests for manufacturability, safety and agency compliance.
- Support sales and marketing with special application requests.
- Assist with after market support of shipped products with special features.
- Analyze requests for special features to identify requirements.
- Develop pricing for special features.
- Assist sales in creating, approving, and maintaining SFA documents and database.
- Analyze trends in special features and make recommendations to marketing.
- Review special orders for complete and correct documentation.
- Distribute special orders to various departments as required.
- Supervise execution of requirements for special orders.
SECONDARY DUTIES:
- Support sustaining and manufacturing issues for all products.
- Support issues regarding parts, BOM’s, and engines for all products.
- Support issues regarding submittals and IOM’s
REQUIRED SKILLS, ABILITIES, KNOWLEDGE, EXPERIENCE:
- 10 years experience in overall HVAC product design and application.
- Experience in sales and marketing.
- Experience in design and application of refrigeration and hydronic cooling and heating systems.
- Fundamental knowledge of water pumping and piping system design.
- Fundamental knowledge of fan and blower operation, ductwork design, and air distribution system design.
- Fundamental knowledge of common practices regarding general building construction.
- Familiarity with common field practices involving the handling, installation, commissioning, operation, and maintenance of HVAC equipment
- Intimate knowledge of designing for manufacturability and value engineering practices.
- Intimate knowledge of current manufacturing practices and capabilities.
- Competent computer skills including the use of software such as Autocad, Solidworks, & MS Office.
- Experience in supervising others.
- Ability to work cross-functionally with excellent communication skills.
REQUIRED EDUCATION, CERTIFICATIONS, LICENSES:
- BS in Mechanical or Aerospace, or commensurate experience.

| Press Shop Production Supervisor for 2nd Shift |
Responsible for assisting the 2nd shift plant manager by assuring that the Press Shop is operated in the most profitable and efficient basis through proper utilization of assigned manpower, materials, equipment and space. Directly supervises Production Team members. Carries out supervisory responsibilities in accordance with the organization’s policies and applicable laws. Responsibilities include training employees; planning, assigning and directing work; appraising performance; rewarding and disciplining employees; addressing complaints and resolving problems.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Supervise production team members performing production operations and must be thoroughly knowledgeable regarding the team member handbook, safety manual, all rules, programs and procedures that pertain to production team members.
- Responsible for orientation and on the job training of team members in the safe, efficient operation of equipment. Instills good housekeeping of their immediate work area in all employees so that visitors may be received in the plant at any time.
- Evaluate probationary team members based on attendance, performance, attitude, potential, etc.
- Recommends candidates for hire, promotion and demotion transfer or release.
- Responsible for maintaining manpower within the assigned department at authorized levels. Re-assigns team members on ‘down equipment’ to eliminate unfavorable labor variances.
- Observes production operation within their area of control to ascertain compliance with methods, quality standards, safety regulations, production standards, and efficient operation of equipment: takes corrective action to eliminate any deviation.
- Continuously analyzes the assigned area of responsibility for improved methods of production, tool design communication and reporting, cost controls and makes recommendations to plant superintendent for disposition.
- Consults with team members regarding on the job problems to include low production, poor quality, poor attendance, tardiness, etc. Documents any and all problems and provides action plans to shift superintendent for disposition.
- In case of emergency, direct team member to their assigned safe area.
- Process all required forms in a timely manner for payroll and Human Resources (i.e. employee status form, timecards, PTO sheets, EIRP reward, etc.).
- Contact Engineering and Maintenance for required repair work.
- When applicable study operation where cost standards are not being met to determine causes and implement corrective action.
- Develop among the assigned team members a consciousness of the need for teamwork to attain departmental and Johnson Controls Inc. (JCI) goals and objectives.
- Support and carry out management philosophy and vision.
- Attend safety and quality meetings when needed.
- Promote plant wide teamwork and positive morale.
REQUIREMENTS:
- Associated degree and at least three years supervisory experience. Related experience, training, education or some combination of all three may be considered.
- Plant Press Shop experience.
- Manufacturing and/or industry supervisory experience.
- Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, and procedure manuals.
- Ability to write routine reports and correspondence.
- Must be computer literate and familiar with appropriate software programs. Ability to create visual aids for communication purposes. PC based software knowledge must include word-processing, spreadsheet and Lotus email based systems.
- Must be able to work 2nd shift hours - 5 p.m. to 4:00 a.m.

| QC Inspectors 2nd Shift |
Tests and inspects products at various stages of production process and compiles statistical data. Uses gauges and other devices to verify conformity to standards of product. High school and two years inspection/production experience preferred. Other duties as required. |
| SHIPPER/FORKLIFT OPERATOR

RESPONSIBILITY LEVEL:
Prepares finished goods for shipment via truck, ship and/or air
carrier; loading pallets on empty trailers or shipping containers,
place finished goods onto skids where they are banded and wrapped.
REQUIREMENTS:
Must be able to speak and understand basic English. Must have basic
math and calculation skills. Requires physical dexterity and the
ability to use certain handtools. Must be able to lift up to 40
lbs. |
